30 Paintings 30 Days, Day 7
Quote stolen from fellow artist and internet friend Judy Shreve.
“Creativity is not the possession of some special talent. It’s about the willingness to play.” –John Cleese
Oh man, I needed that today. I was beginning to get lost and frustrated in the digital side of the 30 Paintings 30 Days challenge. And that’s not what it’s about.
It’s about having fun and showing up every day.
So tonight I pulled out the iPad.
And had fun.
Seven down. Twenty-three to go. Love to hear your thoughts about this.
I was going to ask you what medium you were using and then reread your post, so I’ll ask what program you used. You got great color and soft edges. It has a pastel look yet not quite. I really like the drawn lines into the colors.

I’ m using Procreate, Lydia, still in the early stages of exploring the possibilities.
Hi Susan!
I thought that I had seen this post before and when I saw your artwork I knew then why I had not commented! I got completely distracted by your iPad reference to painting tools and got off on a HUGE tangent of looking for cool painting apps on my iPad! lol… Did I end up using any of them? Not yet, but your work has indeed inspired me yet again! 🙂

I’ve had the cool apps for years Amy but it wasn’t until this challenge that I became motivated to learn how to use them. My favorite so far is Procreate.
30 Paintings in 30 Days isn’t a digital thing but I decided it was a good excuse to make it one for myself.
Now go play on your iPad! 🙂
