Now that March is here and the daffodils are up, winter has finally decided to arrive. Snow. High winds. Which means I might be without power and or internet connection for a few days. Just one of the perks of rural living.
Just giving you a heads up.
So if Arty Life suddenly becomes Arty-Where-the-Hell-Is-She, don’t dispair. It only means I’m huddling by the fire, reading books with a flashlight, and, except for the twice daily trudge through the snow to feed the ponies, thoroughly enjoying myself.
In Texas it was a lovely 79 degrees yesterday; but I am no fool. I will not be tricked into packing away the winter woolies-there could very well be more cold days in our future…they don’t call it March Madness for nothing! (Although this IS the home of the Spurs!)I will send a little prayer that you are gifted with no electricity for a few days….
79 degrees? Ah…we’re still in winter storm watch mode.
The last few years we’ve had more snow in spring than winter. Last year it even snowed in JUNE and people skied on July 4. Because they could, you know.
All the schools are closed. I’m home for the second snow day in a row but I much prefer being here WITH electricity, lol. Not even taking the day off either since I’m putting together the new website for the company and I can do that from home as long as I have power and internet connection.
But maybe I should write tomorrow’s post now, just in case someone listens to your prayers…
ooo, and today in sunny spring-time Norway we had a record of 20 degrees celcius, sitting in the sun against the wall of the house!
But dinna fash, we have had our share of wild storms this winter!
Your storm will be good for the forest!
As winter storms go this really isn’t anything. Seriously. But everyone is all atwitter because we’ve gone all winter without one.
I haven’t a clue what 20 degrees celcius means. Other than you’re gloating so it must be nice. And it’s red underlined so I must not be spelling it correctly either.
Dinna Fash? You been reading Outlander again? xo
