Yep, it’s been two weeks of daily digital painting. Two weeks. WOOT! The Women in Red are beginning to take on their own style. Here’s day 14 of the 30 Paintings in 30 Days challenge.
There’s a story here, I’m sure of it. Hint: It’s not me riding Lana. As much as I would love to say it is, that’s not the energy I get from this image. What do you think it is? If you have a feeling, opinion or outright certainty, tell us about it in the comments below.
Technical info: Created entirely on an iPad 2 using the Procreate app.
If you would like to purchase a print of this image or any of the other Women in Red, click on the sidebar link and check out my Society 6 store.
I think you need one as an early Valentine’s Day present for yourself. Yes, I do.
Be back tomorrow with another Women in Red.

I am fascinated by the way you created this on an iPad. It’s really cool. I like the mysterious nature of the almost faceless woman and horse. Neat series of women in red!

Thanks, Lillian. I’ve put faces on some of the images but didn’t like the way they defined the person. I’m glad you appreciate the almost faceless mystery. Now here’s a face for you π
I love the addition of the horse in this one. Okay here’s my take: Since the young woman is side saddle, I get the feeling she is a very gentle soul just like her companion, Lana. They are are out for the afternoon just moseying around sunlit green fields of wildflowers as bees and butterflies buzz and flutter about. Just a nice, peaceful afternoon spent together, again.

Well Jaime, she’s very unladylike riding astride in a skirt. They could be moseying around in the flowers but Lana (RIP) would most likely not be behaving out there with all those tempting treats to munch on. But that’s OK, because red is a power color and she can handle it π
Sorry it’s taken so long to reply. Day job takes it toll on my time…
haha… I guess I’m not well versed in horse things. I love the red you are using by the way. No big deal on time… I understand and forget to look at any responses anyway. π don’t work too hard!

I prefer to think of it as taking time to ponder over my response π
