Well m’dearies, simply because I don’t have enough on my plate (liar liar pants on fire), I decided to participate in Leslie Saeta’s 30 Paintings in 30 Days challenge.
Except I’m putting my own little spin on this. Ever the multitasker, I decided this is the perfect excuse opportunity to learn–really learn–digital painting. In 30 days I should be able to take it from playing on my ipad to mastering some level of expertise.
Which means you can pretty much count on 30 days of daily Arty Life postings. Imagine that!
I’m thinking this will be a series, Women in Red, inspired by a digital painting I created last week. I’m posting it today just to get this thing going. Today’s WIR is taking her sweet time loading into the Dropbox folder (shaking fist at the digital cloud) so I will start with this one and extend the challenge to the end of the month, which is 31 days really.
I made this using my iPad 2 and the Procreate app. Unless I encounter some unforeseen technical problems all the images I create for this challenge will with this app.
So that’s it. Come back tomorrow for # 2. And if you like what you see, share it with your friends. As always, I love to hear what you have to say in the comments below.
xoxo
Susan I am so glad you are participating! It will be great to see what you do with your digital paintings. I’m approaching it in a different manner – but learning curve just the same.
Happy New Year — and I love the Women in Red painting!

I’m so glad you reminded me about this, Judy. It’s something I’ve been wanting to do. A little kick in the bootie to get a regular creative practice going. And dive deeper into the digital pool as well.
Happy New Year to you! xo
Love this Susan! Can’t wait to see where this leads you……

Thanks, Christina! I’m excited about this totally new direction myself. Looks like I’ll be packin’ the iPad everywhere I go.

Those apps are perfect for when you want to sit back with your feet up, tv on or listening to something interesting. You can be creative with no mess, no commitment to open paints…. I’m really having fun with the process, Michelle. 🙂
